Oud/Agarwood
Oud ist ein dunkles Kernholz aus der Baumgattung Aquilaria. Wenn der Baum von einem bestimmten Schimmelpilz befallen wird, entsteht ein dunkles Ölharz mit einem schweren und mysteriösen Geruch. Da dies ein ungewöhnliches und sehr seltenes Ereignis ist und große Mengen erforderlich sind, um eine ausreichende Menge Öl für die Parfümherstellung zu extrahieren, hat Oud einen höheren Preis als Gold.
