Benzoe
Benzoe ist das Harz oder Pech des Storaxbaums, eine Pflanzengattung innerhalb der Familie der Storaxbaumgewächse, die in Asien beheimatet sind.
Benzoe kommt in der Parfümherstellung häufig vor, wird aber auch regelmäßig als Räucherwerk in der russisch-orthodoxen Kirche verwendet. Das ätherische Öl, oder der Extrakt, den man für die Parfümherstellung verwendet, wird mithilfe von Alkohol gewonnen. Der Duft von Benzoe ist warm, holzig und hat einen Hauch von Vanille.
