Labdanum
Labdanum ist ein Harz, das durch Destillation verschiedener Pflanzenteile der Zistrose gewonnen wird. Dieses Harz hatte im Laufe der Geschichte verschiedene Verwendungszwecke – es soll zur Heilung von Husten, Erkältungen und Rheuma verwendet worden sein. Außerdem wird gemunkelt, dass die Pharaonen in Ägypten, die falsche Bärte hatten, diese mit Labdanum angeklebt haben.
Der Duft von Labdanum wird als süß, nach Kräutern duftend, mit einem Hauch von Obst und Karamell beschrieben.
